ACANTHUS FRAMES

Our History

 

Acanthus Frames started in 1976. Originally as a trade frame making service for selective retailers and department stores. In house designs to give the best selling designs of art and related products.

For Beatties Department Store we designed a framed silk flower which came encased in a card design for 'Valentines Day'. After the event the recipient removed the card and the framed rose would hang on the wall forever! That was in 1978 and more up to date we are the original designers to 'Sportizus Ltd' and 'Sporting Memorabilia of Warwick'. Our designs back in 1996 were for framed boxing gloves, sports shirts, boots, dressing gowns. We framed an Al Pacino suit and a Micheal Jackson jacket for them, as well as bats, balls and stumps.

We have also been associated with Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Designing and framing for the Club and the Players Benefit years since 1996, we have worked for every player and some of the clubs greatest players, Ashley Giles - Dougie Brown and Ian Bell (also known as the three bears!!). Players from such clubs as Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Wolves, Leicester Tigers and many more have been our clients. Now with our bespoke retail service you can join our list of clients.

 

 

 

Our Expertise

 

Acanthus Frames offers an expert service on framing art and art prints as well as photographs. As frame designers we were selected as a co-partner by Trust Arts Ltd in the 'Pioneering' development of ,

          'The Art For Health Project'.

This project recognised that visual images and the colours within the images and framing can effect peoples 'well being', whilst staying in hospital on recovery. The project was financed by the Governments' Art for Public Places, Industry and private giving. The art is still in situ in Heartlands Hospital - Good Hope and Solihull Hospital, and was exhibited on BBC's The One Show. Our experience and knowledge is available to you
